Visit Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale for wonderful boutiques and outdoor cafes. More shopping can be found at the Galleria or at the Sawgrass Mills Outlet Mall. If exciting nightlife is more your thing, be sure to check out the Riverwalk. Other attractions include the Broward Performing Arts Center and the Museum of Art with treasure from the tomb of King Tut. Fort Lauderdale is also home to Nova Southeastern University. Outdoor attractions include great spots for scuba diving and boating, including an annual boat show, as well as being home to the Swimming Hall of Fame. If you want to try your luck, Fort Lauderdale has horseracing, jai-alai, and casino cruises. For the family, be sure to visit Wannado City and the Buehler Planetarium.

Boca Raton is also a great place to visit with fine dining and enjoyable shopping both in Mizner Park and the Boca Town Center. As far as sports, Boca Raton also has great boating and golfing as well as the Chris Everett Tennis Center. FAU and Lynn Universities call Boca Raton their home. If you're interested in the arts, there is a Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park and also the Boca Ballet Theater. If you're specifically interested in Japanese art, Boca Raton has the beautiful Morikami Museum, complete with Japanese Gardens. Again, if you have a family in tow, they'll love the Loxahatchee Eco Tours, Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, and Coconut Cove Water Park.
